The Pioneer's Cabin in Percy, Il was a little bit of a jog for Amanda and I, but it was well worth the trip.
When we arrived we had apparently just missed the lunch rush since we were nearly the only customers. Finding a seat was rather easy! We felt quite cozy with the country/cabin feel and the roaring fireplace.
Once seated and given the usual extra long amount of time to look over the menu we ordered our lunch.
We both opted for the family style fried chicken. It came with a tasty array of sides ranging from the flower pot bread to green beans, dumplings, mashed potatoes and gravy and their cabin salad topped with a heavenly house made French dressing. If you love it as much as we did, be sure to pick up a jar! Everything was very tasty and I can't wait to go back! I would love to elaborate more, however its been nearly a year since our visit! All I can say is, of you can, do! Visit the website at www.pioneerscabin.com!
